“I fell in love with the feeling of this neighborhood the moment we moved here. I want to do my part to make sure Blueridge maintains that amazing vibe!”
A Warm Welcome Home
What inspired you to join the BCA? We moved to Blueridge about 10 years ago and were immediately greeted with a “meet and greet” from the BCA. It made us feel like we had a community right away! That feeling was so wonderful that I joined the board four years ago to help others feel that same sense of belonging.
How do you use your professional background to help the community? With my background in Human Resources and social media training, I love helping spread the word about all the incredible things the BCA is doing. There aren’t many communities on the North Shore that do as much as we do, and I want to make sure everyone knows about it!
And speaking of social media, here are:
What is your favorite way to spend an afternoon in Blueridge? I take every chance I can to go for a long hike through our trails with my dog, Oreo. Of course, all trails eventually lead to United Strangers for a coffee and treats for Oreo!
Local Favorites & Fun Facts
- The “Must-Experience” Event: Beyond a doubt, it’s Blueridge Good Neighbour Day. It’s the one day a year that brings out the entire community for games, food, and fun.
- A New Tradition: I recently loved our first Cozy Nights event—it was a fantastic way to meet new residents and catch up with old friends over drinks.
- The “Unicorn” Fact: In 10 years of living in Blueridge, I have yet to bump into a bear! I know they are out there roaming, but we haven’t crossed paths yet.
- Blueridge in a Word: Homey!
